🥬 NETWorks Opens New Indoor Farm in Tucker

NETWorks officially opened Growings!, their new indoor hydroponic farm, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 20th. The facility will produce hundreds of pounds of fresh vegetables monthly year-round to supply their Client-Choice Pantry.

The project was led by Volunteer Farm Coordinator Neil Duggan and made possible through donations from Atlanta Community Food Bank, Georgia Power, Perimeter Church, the David, Helen & Marian Woodward Fund, and community supporters. 🤝

The farm represents NETWorks' commitment to growing food, feeding neighbors, and providing educational opportunities right in Tucker. Huge congratulations to the NETWorks team!

Tucker Treasures 💝

Tucker Today partners with Dekalb County Animal Shelter. Every week, we highlight local animals looking for their forever home.

In this week’s edition of Tucker Treasures, we’re featuring Stefan!

Stefan (male); 5 yrs old, 36lbs

"Stefan is so handsome and the perfect size for apartment living. He's only 36 lbs and easy to walk on leash. He has beautiful tiger stripe brindle coloring and his fur is so soft to the touch.

When he's outside he looks around curiously and does a little exploring. Once he's done with that, he'll come over for some pets and love. Great size, handsome, friendly and looking for a home. How about yours?”

Spread the word about Stefan! Email [email protected] or call 404.294.2165 for more info.

Not sure if you want to adopt? Come take a pup for a fun day with the Dog for the Day program. This program is a great way to borrow a canine companion for a hike, a trip to the park, or a lazy day at home. Email [email protected] for more information.
