The sport that took the world by storm is making its home in Tucker! We’re so excited that new Pickleball courts are coming soon to Tucker’s Recreation Center.

2. What’s the Status on Tucker’s Trail Master Plan?

Tucker’s Trail Master Plan aims to establish a 32-mile pedestrian and bicycle trail network, linking neighborhoods, parks, and schools to Downtown Tucker and the Stone Mountain Trail/Park.

At the City Council meeting on February 26th, Ken Hildebrandt – Tucker’s City Engineer – shared updates:

  1. ✅ Trail Segment 1A (Downtown Trail) and a portion of Segment 4C (Hugh Howell Rd from MIB to Marthasville Ct) are completed.

  2. 🚧 Design is in progress for:

    1. Tucker’s Northlake Trail,

    2. South Fork Peachtree Creek Greenway,

    3. Kelley Cofer Boardwalk Loop, and

    4. the next section of Hugh Howell Rd to Stratmor Dr

Current Status of Tucker’s Trail Master Plan: Constructed vs. Under Design

To address funding challenges, City Council explored other revenue sources like seeking additional federal funding. They also discussed the need to prioritize Downtown trails and build cohesive connections, ensuring that trails are integrated pathways rather than isolated routes.
