🏢 Updates from Tucker’s 10/28 City Council Meeting
🏫 Capital Improvement Plan: Tucker’s City Council approved a resolution on October 28 to establish a capital improvement plan for 2024 to 2029. This plan sets the stage for a future city-owned hall, although specific plans haven’t been finalized yet.
🛣️ Pavement Update: City Engineer Ken Hildebrand reported that while some streets still need work, Tucker’s overall pavement condition is improving, with 60% of streets now rated satisfactory or good. He proposed a $5 million budget for 2025 to keep the progress going.
🌷 Lawrenceville Hwy Beautification: The council awarded a $261K contract to Pond & Company for a beautification plan along Lawrenceville Highway. This will involve an analysis of current conditions & safety, a public outreach program, and collaboration with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
🔈️ Communications: Incisive presented a new communications strategic plan, brand guidelines, and social media policies for the City of Tucker. They are developing an economic development pitch deck for the city to attract new development.

🥒 Pickeball Proposal - Community Meeting
There will be a community meeting on Thursday, November 7th @ 7pm about the proposed 12 court pickleball complex planned for the Tucker Recreation Center field. Meeting will be held at 4898 Lavista Road.
Be sure to attend to get your voice heard!
🌳 Tucker Town Green
In case you missed it last week, Tucker held its groundbreaking ceremony on October 25th, commencing the start of Town Green construction. Town Green will be located on Railroad Avenue west of Main Street.
Construction is estimated to complete in summer or fall of 2025. Watch the groundbreaking ceremony here!
