🚨 A case of squatting turned into child sex trafficking bust!

In Fall 2023, Tucker homeowner Ronan McCabe called Fox 5 News’s “I-Team” to share his story of his home being taken over by squatters. They had been using his home without a lease or permission and demanded money in order for them to leave.

While the I-Team was interviewing Mr. McCabe about his issues with the squatters, U.S. Marshals had been gathering around his property to take down the man inside, Ramon Fuertes III. There was a federal warrant for his arrest for sex trafficking.

In a wild turn of events, Mr. McCabe was able to regain possession of his property, just not for the reasons he had thought.

⚠️ Speed Limits Coming Down on Brockett St & Chamblee Tucker Road

The City of Tucker and the Georgia Department of Transportation have announced a reduction of speeds on Brockett Road & Chamblee Tucker Road to 35 mph. This street had been identified as an unsafe road. In addition to reducing speed limits, there are also new traffic calming designs in the middle of the road.

It looks like the city is also working on similar designs for Fellowship Road in between La Vista & Lawrenceville Hwy.

One of Tucker’s gems, Sherry’s Produce, is in need of our support. Sherry’s (the matriarch behind Sherry’s produce) husband, Junior, recently had a stroke and is paralyzed on his left side.

Newly opened Books & Brew was recently featured in RoughDraft Atlanta and told the story of how owners Nate Monga & Quinelle Bethelmie came up with the idea.

RoughDraft reported that Books & Brew will be expanding its menu with the completion of its kitchen later this fall. Lamb and chicken stews will be featured – perfect for cozy fall weather.
