🛑 Dekalb Police Investigating Death of a Pedestrian Near Johns Homestead Park

On Thursday evening, April 18th, at approximately 7:06 p.m., a pedestrian was hit while walking along the sidewalk near Johns Homestead Park.

The driver of the car who hit the pedestrian remained on the scene, and the cause of the accident is still under evaluation. Despite the road having both a crosswalk and a sidewalk, the pedestrian was reportedly hit while walking on the sidewalk.

This latest tragic death underscores pedestrian safety in Tucker as we continue to grow and expand as a city.

🔨 Repairs Starting on Building at the corner of La Vista and Fellowship Road

A longstanding eyesore in the community, the crumbling building at the corner of LaVista Road and Fellowship Road is finally getting repaired.

The City of Tucker has recently stated that after intense court hearings, “The Superior Court has ordered the owners to fix the building and the Superior Court of DeKalb County is now overseeing their compliance.” More info can be found here. The city is excited to see progress being made!

There’s been much interest in what business could fill this formerly empty space.

What do you think should come in?
