🛑 Murder Suicide at Lucky Shoals Park

Gwinnett County police are investigating a tragic incident at Lucky Shoals Park, where three children and a man were found shot dead in a car. While Lucky Shoals is in Gwinnett County, many Tuckerites frequent this close neighboring park.

The victims have been identified as Arianny Rodriguez (13), Carlos Rodriguez (9), and Chadal Rodriguez (11). The suspected shooter, the mother’s ex-partner, took the children out for a meal while their mother was at the hospital with another child. The investigation is ongoing.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the family. Read more details here.

Tucker Treasures 💝

In this week’s edition of Tucker Treasures, we’re featuring Kismet – a handsome pup (2 years, 3 mo old) at the Dekalb County Animal Shelter who is looking for his forever home.

Kismet will kick your life up a notch! With a lovely white coat and a darling smile, this handsome dog is meant to be a social media star.

  • Easy to walk on the leash;

  • loves exploring new places and backyards;

  • adores being petted + loves treats

Reason for risk: Kismet has become increasingly stressed in his kennel, barking at people passing his door.

Kismet is currently one of Dekalb County Animal Shelter’s At-Risk dogs. At-risk dogs are those who need some extra advocacy to make it out of the shelter due to behavioral concerns, quality of life concerns, or behavioral deterioration in the shelter.

Spread the word on Kismet to anyone who might be interested in adopting their newest fur baby! Read more on Kismet and other adoptable dogs here.
