😨 Shooting at Tucker Walmart
A custody exchange at Walmart on Lawrenceville Highway turned violent on September 20. A 25-year old man was injured in the incident but is expected to recover.
Police reported that a verbal dispute between two men during the exchange escalated into gunfire, leading to the suspect’s arrest for aggravated assault. No one else was hurt, and the investigation is ongoing.

↩️ Left Hand Signal coming to Lavista!
You may have noticed the newly installed median flowerbeds on Fellowship Road. This work is part of the larger plan to add a dedicated left turn signal onto Lavista — one of the most complained about intersections and requested changes in Tucker! 🙌
The median flowerbeds are intended to slow traffic and promote safety.

🌽 Tucker’s Farmers Market: Cancelled this week (9/26) due to weather
Tucker's Farmers Market is open every Thursday (4-7pm) at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (4882 Lavista Road) until October. Shop from 25+ vendors providing local fruits & veggies, baked goods, and more!

Blue Ribbon Grill’s sign officially went up on Monday, 9/23! They hope to open in October.

Tucker First United Methodist Church is sponsoring its annual Great Day of Service for the Tucker community. Give back to the community by serving various local organizations! Volunteers can select from a list of projects and spend 4 hours serving the community we love.
Meet at the Activities Center behind Tucker First UMC for a breakfast biscuit (thanks to Chick-Fil-A!), then head out in teams to work on the selected projects.
