🐶 New “pet neighborhood” sparks debate among Dekalb citizens
DeKalb County's ambitious new animal services expansion project is generating significant community dialogue ahead of its groundbreaking ceremony this week.
The $4.1 million facility, designed as an overflow "pet neighborhood," represents a major investment in the county's animal welfare infrastructure.
That being said, there are mixed reactions from the community about whether or not this is a good use of tax dollars and if this will actually solve the problem of over-breeding in the county and state at large.

🚒 Fire at Historic Tucker Home
DeKalb Fire and Rescue responded to a fire at a vacant house on Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker on the morning of Nov. 15. Firefighters arrived around 7 am to find flames on the left side of the historic 1930s home, which was being occupied by unhoused individuals (address: 3227 Lawrenceville Highway). Crews quickly extinguished the fire, preventing further damage.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

If you have any information about Rose’s whereabouts please contact her son Ricky. Details are in the photo below.
Rose was last seen on 11/13 leaving the 2400 blk of Jenay Court. She’s 5'1, 140lbs. w/ brown eyes and black hair. She was in a pink long-sleeved pajama pants set & black shoes.
