❌ Main Street Hit by Burglars Again
Tucker's Main Street businesses got an unwelcome wake-up call around 5:22 am on July 8th when burglars smashed windows at four spots - Nicky's Undefeated, Ford's BBQ, Village Burger, and Yes Eventz. This marks the third time in a year that Main Street has been targeted, following similar incidents in July 2024 and January.

The good news? The crooks didn't get much since most businesses don't leave cash overnight. Police are working leads and identified the getaway vehicle as stolen that same morning. If you have any info, you can tip DeKalb County Police anonymously through the Tip411 app or text 'DKPD' to 847411.
City Councilmember Roger Orlando says increased patrols are coming, though he notes it's like "whack-a-mole" - stopping crime in one spot often just moves it elsewhere. Tucker's new marshal's office might help with downtown visibility in the future.

Tucker's Farmers Market is open every Thursday (4-7pm) at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (4882 Lavista Road) until October. Shop from 25+ vendors providing local fruits & veggies, baked goods, and more!
